The Start
We met each other at school, and ever since then have been best friends. Our first videos were made using Flip software and a Flip camera. Our first video idea was a music video to Ke$ha's Your Love is My Drug. It consisted of girls chasing a guy and tying him up. This was not so thought out, but it was a start. When we went back to school that monday, we got a whole load of feedback saying it was good. This was what started it all. That weekend, we did another video about a theme park called Malibu Fun. We thought it would be great. When we went back to school, there wasn't much of a reaction. We wanted that same feeling we got from the other video. So of course we went back the next weekend and did another video, and the week after that, yet another video. Suddenly, we were all together every weekend. Now, not every video we make comes out. It has to go through a long process to get published.
The name Flublurblur came to being in school. Flubber, to us, was another way of saying blubber, except with an "f". Little did we know this was actually a movie. We would call each other Flubber at school, it was our own thing. When our first video came out, we decided to name it Flublurblur because it sounded plural... at the time.
The Future
Our future is bright, no turning back. We've started to become more technical about our work, looking at the little details and exploring new editing software. I guess as we grow older, we become a bit harder on ourselves about the little things. Instead of just putting together a film with one angle per scene, we've started to make many angles per scene. Our music videos have astonished us. The longest time it's taken to make one minute of a music video was four hours! Not including breaks. I can't imagine what we will be doing in the future.
